Hello, I’m Amber.
I’m a mechanical engineer and designer originally from Atlanta, Georgia.
While pursuing my PhD, I discovered a newfound passion in human-centered design, interaction design, and tangible prototyping—creating products and experiences that are intuitive, embodied, and user-focused.
As I transition out of my PhD program early, I’m seeking opportunities in product design, creative technology, or product management, where I can bring together my technical foundation, design skills, and collaborative approach to create meaningful, innovative products.
Background
My experiences range from dismantling a lunar rover at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center to designing interactive science exhibits that help kids understand climate change.
I graduated from Yale University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics, where I researched the physics of animal locomotion as a Yale STARS Scholar.
I went on to earn a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley in 2024.
Along the way, I was honored to receive the NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Opportunity (2024) and the Google + Black in Robotics PhD Award (2023).
